How to Think Like a Sex Therapist™ is the first and only training program built around a validated, research-based clinical reasoning model specifically for sex therapists.

Here’s What I Know for Sure:
As therapists, our lack of knowledge and training in the field of clinical sexology is unacceptable.
We’re taught to analyze, diagnose, and document—but not how to reflect deeply on the cognitive processses that aid us most when working in a clinical space. No one teaches us how to navigate our own bias, stay grounded in cultural humility, and align our practice with the core principles of sex therapy.
That’s why I created How to Think Like a Sex Therapist™—a powerful, two-hour masterclass designed to help you think critically, practice responsibly, and feel confident when addressing sensitive issues against a changing cultural landscape. This course is based on my doctoral research and is approved by the Virginia Board of Social Work for continuing education credits.
I’ve had the honor of presenting this work at national conferences including SSTAR, SPSP, and the Association of Black Sexologists and Clinicians. The initial findings were published in the Journal of Black Sexuality and Relationships, and I’ve applied these same principles in my work with Pineapple Support—offering affirming therapy to adult film stars—as well as in my supervision of graduate students from universities across the country.
I’ve trained alongside some of the world’s leading sex therapists—and I created this course for therapists like you. It’s the course I wish I had when I started my career 15 years ago: clear, practical, and deeply grounded in the realities of clinical practice. Designed to fill the training gap that’s all too common in our field, this masterclass offers everything you need to step into this work with confidence and care.
Warm regards,
Principal Facilitator, How to Think Like a Sex Therapist™
